Denote version 2.0 is now available on the App Store for $.99 USD. This version makes it even easier to use your email inbox for notes and reminders on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The most exciting new feature is that notes are now sent without leaving the application for a faster, smoother experience. This change also makes it easier to send multiple notes in a row. In addition, the email subject intro text, which still defaults to “Denote:”, can now be changed to any value, including setting it to be blank. Even the application icon got a little polishing.

I hope you enjoy these new features. Let us know if we can do anything to improve Denote.

During his vacation, Favreau e-mailed notes to himself via BlackBerry while visiting friends in Manhattan and talked about structure at his family’s Thanksgiving dinner.

Jon Favreau (not this one), Barack Obama’s 27 year old head speechwriter, emails himself notes when composing speeches. I wonder if using Denote would make writing the inauguration easier?

Denote version 1.1 is now available on the App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The main new feature in this release is the ability to rotate the device into a landscape orientation to reveal a wider keyboard, making note editing easier. In addition, the subject lines generated by the application are now trimmed to a reasonable length, so that they will appear more clearly in your inbox.
