Helpful hints for using Denote.
The first time you run Denote, you will need to configure the email address where all notes will be sent. The Mail application must be configured for Denote to send notes.
Configuring the settings
- Tap the blue plus icon
and choose
an email from your address book to which all notes will be sent. Or, tap the Email
field and enter an address on the keyboard. - Tap the Done button to save the preferences and return to the note editing screen.
- Optionally change the Subject Prefix field. This text will appear at the start of the email subject line.
- Optionally disable Screen rotation to prevent the note from changing to a landscape orientation when the device is rotated.
- The color scheme of the note editor can also be changed. Black on White works best during the day; White on Black is best for night time use, such as typing a note in bed.
Sending a note
- Type the note and then tap the envelope button
to send.
This will display a new screen with a complete email message ready to be sent.
Tap the Send button at the top of the email message to deliver the email to your inbox.
The subject of the email will be the first line of your note. - Rotate the iPhone or iPod Touch into a landscape orientation to display a wider keyboard.
- Tapping the gray circle button
will
clear the note text. - Tap the gray info button
to configure the
settings.
